BBQ AREAS

I love BBQ areas... Building this was more fun than a bloke can handle.  All aluminium frame construction ensures there is no movement, rotting or warping of materials.  This will still be standing in 50 years time.  The timber is purely for aesthetics.  The bench top is the stainless steel top off the Dishwasher and the rest of the wrap around Bench (out of view), is made from large second hand paver's that were taken off the Olympic site in Homebush. The Nights helmet thing is a rotisserie made from a old heater.  Works wonders.

After moving into a much cared for ex-rental property we decided the back patio needed some work. A lot of work..... We cleared the overgrowth and found an old fish pond. Beyond repair and a few beers with mates an idea for a BBQ area was born... We also had useless fireplace inside. So we turned useless into a focal point and once lit, a gathering of babbling mouths and flame gazers find it hard to leave.
